“ Always a great place to meet friends for a coffee or pick up a coffee and a nibble to go. Their pastries are very good and the coffee is always exceptional and the people that work there are always happy and greet you with a smile. ”
“ I stopped in here again on my way through town. I always go out of my way to get coffee here if I'm traveling. Once again, the lattes did not disappoint. Great coffee, and nice selection of bagged coffee including organic. I always buy fresh roasted coffee and always grab a bag of theirs on my way though. I love the ambiance of this place too. Nice spot for locals. If I lived in the area I'd hang out here a lot. Nice people working here who are really helpful. The guy at the register went out of his way to help me find the bag of coffee that was best for me. I'll be back! ”
“ Great coffee! Not ho-hum in any way. Local place that roasts their own beans. They have fresh baked goods. Love their lavender oat milk lattes. Service and atmosphere is wonderful. ”
“ If you're in the Mendocino/Redwood Empire area, don't miss this spot. Had the most pleasant latte this morning at Ukiah is a ways up 101 from the Bay, but this shop has the friendliest staff, tastiest pastries, and the drinks were pretty dang good. I ordered the seasonal Coquito Latte, which had a rum coconut syrup and was SO nice. Perfectly cozy. An added plus was the outside patio was heated! Stopped on our road trip home from visiting family in Oregon and might just need to make this my last latte stop of the year and end it on a positive note. Next time I'm up in the Mendo area, I'm definitely going to try and find a way to come back. ”
“ This place was literally my beacon in the storm, Bomb Cyclone. I stocked up for my +2 hr drive in it. What did I buy: Everything, well almost Largest size black coffee drip (always fresh), a bacon/onion scone, mushroom quiche slice, caprese panino, chocolate seasonal cookie special, cinnamon cream cheese muffin. I would have bought more not knowing how long I could be detained on the 101, but I saved some for YOU. Enjoy as I know you undoubtedly will. Cheers ”
“ Before driving back to San Francisco, we decided to stop by here to try their award-winning espresso and unique drinks. The interior is large and cozy with industrial vibes. Our order: Latte (Medium - $5.00): +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Whole milk made for creamy drink. +Cute latte art -Espresso could be stronger. Lovers Lane Latte (Medium - $6.00) +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Local wildflower honey and bee pollen added floral and fruity notes. +Cute latte art -It became a tad too sweet towards the end: If I ordered this again, I'd request less sweetness. -There was an L written on top of the handle, and the ink rubbed off onto my fingers. To prevent transfer, it might be better if they wrote on the dish instead. Café Borgia (Medium - $6.00) +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Combination of dark chocolate and orange was balanced and not too sweet +Cute latte art -There was an L written on top of the handle, and the ink rubbed off onto my fingers. To prevent transfer, it might be better if they wrote on the dish instead. Side notes: 1.) Their mugs are HUGE compared to typical coffee shops; A lady ordered a large, and it looked like a bowl. 2.) Free parking lot right outside. *Verdict: I'd love to try more of their menu when I'm in the area again! ”
“ Nice coffee shop but note it does get busy in the morning. Parking wasn't ample but they have their own lot. We managed to get indoor seating but they do have some outdoors too. I really liked the vegetable quiche. Very flavorful and the crust had a nice hard texture to complement the fluffy inside filled with onions and zucchini. They have a nice variety of other pastries they can heat up for you too. ”
“ Stopped by this cute coffee place on a whim. We were driving through Ukiah and decided to check it out. I ordered a chai latte which was delicious and my boyfriend loved his latte. Nice ambiance, fast service and friendly staff. ”
“ We go out of our way any time we are even remotely close to be sure we can stop and enjoy Black Oak. A fantastic mix of coffee drinks - always some fun specials- and a pastry case with good choices all the time. This trip was for a Peanut Butter Mocha and a Rosemary Nutella Mocha. What's great is no particular flavor overwhelms, each is a wonderful accent to a great cup of coffee. I am joining their membership club so I can have two different 12-oz bags of different roasted-on-premises coffee sent to my house ”
